Reza Mahdavi, Graduated in B.S. General Biology from Azad University, Mashad/Iran.

His instructors and proffessors were: Mr. Dibari, Mr. Sadrossadat, Mr. Ghadir Sabbaghiyan, Mr. Mirmostafaei, Mr. Javadian(Ettehad), Mr. Sagha, Mr. Alijanpoor, Mr. Scandarpoor, Mr. Jazizade, Mr. Farshchian and Mr. Hosseini-rad.

He started his proffessional artistc activities since he was about 14.

Degrees and Certificates:                   

1- Exellant Certificate of Persian Painting awarded by Jihad-e-Daneshgahi (Tehran Univ./Iran)

2- Holding International Certificate of Teaching Persian Painting from Governmontal Organization for Technics and Skills in Iran.

3- Holding Certificate of Specialty Course in Painting awarded by Ministry of Culture and Art.

4- High level Certificate of Teaching Persian Painting awarded by Ministry of Culture and Art

More than 30 exhibitions were held in:Iran, Canada, U.S., Spain, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Malaysia, Germany, Qatar, Emirates And China

 
     
 
 

Reza Mahdavi has been experiencing different Styles of painting and visual arts during last 20 years.

Also, he has trained a plenty of students in his own studio and universities. Now, they are following their teachers methods. And they have succeeded in many festivals and exhibitions.

Nowadays,a number of his works are beeing kept by some galleries and collectioners around the world. And some art academies and universities are expecting a day that he accept their invitations to teach in their places.

 In this artwork, you can see a rabbit, escaping from an eagle. and an angel is protecting it from the eagle. Usually, in Persian Painting style, the elements are some symbols for same realities ,we can't feel them directly. Actually, the rabbit is a symbol for a servant of God that is trying to be protected by the commiseration of God ( angel symbol ) from the Satan's temptations ( eagle's forks ). The angel's clothings all; are painted bright that is symbol for purity and the rabbit is white coloured that is symbols for purity . The eagle's wings are dark like sins and guilts. All the space is dark, just a way to the angel is bright showing just the God's way is bright and safe.
This artwork has won the first prize of 5th Persian painting binnal in Tehran contemporary museum of art in 2001.
